Strawberries are always a favorite spring sweet treat. In our climate, they appear in mid to late April and continue producing for about four weeks. These delicious berries are packed with vitamin C and high in potassium and folate. You can eat them fresh in salads, bake with them, or freeze them for smoothies. However, simply eating them straight out of the pint container is arguably the very best way to enjoy strawberries!
STORAGE: Don't wash or hull your strawberries until just before you are ready to eat them. You can store them on your counter for a couple of days. Alternatively, place them in a single layer on a paper towel in an airtight container in your fridge for up to a week.
